Open Question: What foundation would be best for a person who's skin color looks like Eva Longoria?

I can never tell what shade I am, but my skin color is just like hers, and it's normal to oily, and the most trouble I have with foundation is it always come off as I'm very active but very much a girly girl and love dramatic make up, so I don't mind good coverage. I have very good skin (the make up counter people tell me), no acne, good resilance, and I can tan easily. I love Mac, Estee Lauder and Benefit. Every time I get a foundation or mixed powder /foundation suggested at the counter to buy and take home it's either too pale and I look sickly pale or too dark, like I sprayed a fake tanner on. I tried one from mac but it was so sheer it came right off within an hour or two, I had the revlon color stay but the color was hard to match.
